Welcome to the 2012 Delancey British National Alpine Ski Championships.
Following the success of the 2011 Championships it is with great pleasure that we return to Meribel in 2012. The conditions in 2011 were, to say the least, testing with record high temperatures and record low snow levels and it is testament to the skill and professionalism of the team in Meribel that we were able to hold the number of races we did.
I would like to say an enormous thank you to Delancey for their kind sponsorship of the 2012 Championships and especially to the Chairman of Delancey’s Advisory Board, Sir John Ritblat. 2012 will be the 34th year that Sir John has been involved with sponsorship of the sport; he is undoubtedly one of skiing's greatest supporters and his continuing support is greatly appreciated.
I am delighted to say that His Royal Highness, The Earl of Wessex will be visiting this year’s event and it is always an honour to have such a long standing and keen supporter present at our National Championships.
Meribel Tourism and the ESF in Meribel have given us enormous support over the years and continue to do so and as such we are delighted to announce a partnership between these local organisations and BSS represented by the Organising Committee (incorporating the Home Nation Governing Bodies and BARSC).
It is always our aim to provide our competitors and their supporters with the best value for money event possible. In 2011, we introduced a voucher scheme to bring you better value food, drink, accommodation and entertainment within Meribel and this year we aim to continue on its success and offer you bigger and better deals.
